- How far in advance should I start preparing?
- Ideally, begin gathering evidence and reviewing your plan at least two to three months before your reassessment date. This gives you enough time to book and complete any functional assessments, gather reports from providers, and prepare your personal statement without rushing.
- Can I bring someone to my reassessment meeting?
- Yes. You can bring a support person, support coordinator, carer, family member, or disability advocate. You can also request an interpreter if you need one. Inform the NDIA in advance so they can make appropriate arrangements.
- What if I disagree with what the planner decides during the meeting?
- The planner does not make a final decision during the meeting itself — they prepare a recommendation that goes through the NDIA's decision-making process.
