Can I change where I live on the NDIS?
Yes. You have the right to choose where and how you live, and to change your mind. People move between housing types, providers and living arrangements regularly. Wanting more independence, more privacy or a better fit is reason enough — you don't have to wait for a crisis.
Do I need a new plan to change housing type?
It depends. Moving between similar arrangements often fits your current plan. Moving to something quite different — like from drop-in support into SIL or SDA — usually needs a plan reassessment and fresh evidence. You can request a change of circumstances with the NDIA when your needs change.
How do I avoid losing support when I move?
