Editorial Standards

The standards every Novida NDIS guide, tool and figure is held to — how we source, fact-check, disclose AI use, stay independent of commercial interests, keep content current, and correct it.

Our editorial principles

Accuracy above all, independence, transparency, plain language, respect and inclusion, and accountability govern everything we publish — the standard we hold ourselves to and that you can hold us to.

How we research and source

We build our guides, tools and price figures from primary, authoritative sources and link to them: the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, ndis.gov.au, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, the NDIS Provider Register, and reputable Australian disability and health bodies.

Our fact-checking and review process

Every guide is researched against primary sources, drafted with AI assistance, fact-checked by a person against the official source, edited for plain language, published with its sources, and reviewed on a schedule — including around 1 July when NDIS pricing and rules typically change.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help research and draft, but a named person verifies every fact against the primary source before publishing. We never publish AI output unchecked, and never use AI or anything else to invent reviews, ratings, credentials or provider details.

Editorial independence and commercial separation

Paying Novida never buys a better guide, a higher position in our editorial recommendations or a favourable write-up. Ratings and reviews come only from real, submitted reviews — never seeded or bought. Listings imported from the NDIS Provider Register show as Unclaimed until verified, and any sponsored content would be clearly labelled.

Respectful language, currency, corrections and scope

We follow the language the disability community prefers and write accessibly. We label the pricing year figures reflect and update them when official figures change. We correct material errors openly. All content is general information only — not medical, legal or financial advice — and Novida is independent of, and not endorsed by, the NDIA.
