How do I request a review of my NDIS plan?
Contact the NDIA through the myplace portal, by phone or in writing, and say you want your plan reviewed because your circumstances have changed. Explain clearly what's changed, attach supporting evidence, say what support you now need, and keep a copy of your request.
When can I ask for an NDIS plan change?
When something meaningful has changed and your current funding no longer fits — for example your support needs have increased, your living situation has changed, a new need has emerged, or the plan isn't working. It's for genuine shifts, not small bumps you can manage within existing funding.
What's the difference between a plan change and a reassessment?
A plan change (or variation) is a lighter-touch adjustment targeting a specific change in your circumstances. A reassessment is the fuller review, usually scheduled as your plan nears its end date, that rebuilds the plan. The NDIA decides which path fits your situation.
What if I disagree with the NDIA's decision on my plan?
Requesting a plan change and challenging a decision are separate paths. If you disagree with a decision, you can ask for a formal internal review (Section 100), and if you're still unhappy, appeal to the Administrative Review Tribunal. Those processes have their own steps and timeframes.
