What is PACE in the NDIS?
PACE is the NDIA's newer computer system that manages plans, payments and records. It replaced the older platform and introduced a refreshed myplace portal plus a step where you name the providers you want to use. Your funding and rights work the same way underneath.
What is 'my provider network' or 'my providers'?
It's the list of providers you've chosen, attached to your plan under PACE. For agency-managed supports, a provider usually needs to be in your network before they can claim. You can add or remove providers anytime, and use several for the same support.
How do I add a provider to my plan under PACE?
You can add providers through the myplace portal, by phoning or emailing the NDIA, by asking your support coordinator, or by confirming a provider's request to be endorsed. It's your choice who goes on the list, and adding one doesn't lock your funding to them.
Do I still need service bookings under PACE?
No. PACE replaced old-style service bookings with your named provider network. Instead of locking funding into a booking for one provider, your funding stays available across the providers you've named, which makes switching providers and sharing supports more flexible.
