Can I still get a Home Care Package Level 2?
Not as a new applicant. Home Care Packages closed to new entrants when Support at Home began on 1 November 2025. New applicants now receive a Support at Home classification instead. Existing Level 2 recipients were automatically moved to the equivalent Support at Home level.
How much funding did a Level 2 package provide?
For 2025-26, a Level 2 Home Care Package provided an annual budget of roughly $18,866, though the figure was indexed and varied slightly. It suited people with low-level care needs who needed regular help with tasks like cleaning, personal care and getting to appointments.
What happened to my Level 2 package under Support at Home?
You were automatically transitioned to the equivalent Support at Home classification, with no need to reapply. Your funding now runs as quarterly budgets, and a no worse off protection means your contributions should be no higher than under the old Home Care Package rules.
What did a Level 2 package cover?
