Can NDIS transport funding pay for my everyday travel?
It is meant to cover the extra cost of getting around that comes from your disability, not the ordinary travel costs everyone has. If you cannot use public transport because of your disability, transport support helps you reach activities and appointments.
Can I get NDIS transport and the mobility allowance at the same time?
Generally they are designed not to overlap for the same purpose, with NDIS transport taking the place of the mobility allowance for participants. Confirm your own situation with your planner, LAC or Services Australia.
Does my plan pay for my support worker's driving?
Worker travel is handled separately from transport for you, and how it is charged follows the NDIS pricing arrangements and your service agreement. Agree travel expectations up front so the invoice holds no surprises.
How much transport funding will I get?
It varies by plan and is set through the NDIS pricing arrangements, so we do not quote figures. Your own plan document shows what you have; your planner or LAC can explain how it was worked out.
What if transport options are limited where I live?
