my NDIS portal (myplace)

The online portal where you view your plan, budgets and claims.

What it means

The my NDIS portal, sometimes called myplace, is the secure online portal where you can see and manage your plan. You reach it through myGov using your login. It brings together the key details of your plan in one place, so you can check things when it suits you.

In the portal you can view your plan, check your budgets and how much you have spent, and manage service bookings. If you self-manage your funding, you can also make claims through the portal. There is a my NDIS app for phones too, so you can do many of these things on the go.

In practice

Many people use the portal or app to keep track of their plan day to day. You might log in to see how much of a budget is left before booking more supports, to check that claims have gone through, or to look at the details of your current plan.

To use the portal you first need a myGov account linked to the NDIS. Once you are set up, you can log in whenever you need to. If you get stuck, the NDIA can help you set up access, and a support coordinator, plan manager or family member can support you to use it if you would like a hand.

A real example

For example, Aroha logs in to the my NDIS portal through myGov to check how much of her core budget is left for the month. She sees her recent spending, confirms a claim has gone through, and reviews her current plan details, all from her phone using the my NDIS app.
